Nov. 29—Hanover Twp. — Police say Dewayne Sanford choked, assaulted and threatened to kill a girl at her residence Sunday.

Sanford, 24, of Piscataway, N.J., was unable to submit $7,500 bail and was dedicated to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility after his arrest Monday on expenses of strangulation, terroristic threats, easy assault and harassment.

Within the grievance towards Sanford, police mentioned that at roughly 9:42 p.m. officers have been dispatched to the Village of Hanover for a report of a bodily home dispute and encountered Lindazah Watkins. Officers noticed accidents to Watkins’ neck and throat. She instructed police she and her boyfriend, Sanford, received into an argument that turned bodily, with him placing her in a headlock and beating her on the mattress.

The grievance states that Watkins instructed Sanford to drag away from him, saying, “You suppose I am enjoying with you.” Watkins once more instructed Sanford to get off her and kicked her “within the personal half,” inflicting her to choke him. Watkins mentioned Sanford instructed him he was going to “kill you silly bitch.”

The grievance states that Watkins tried to inform Sanford to cease choking her, however she started to lose consciousness and couldn’t breathe. Sanford lets him go and calls an Uber. Watkins instructed Sanford to rush. He replied, “Shut up earlier than I hit you” and grabbed Watkins by the hair, punched him and threw him round. Watkins ran out of the home and known as 911.

Police mentioned they discovered Sanford within the village of Hanover and took him into custody.

Police mentioned officers gave Watkins a home violence kind and she or he supplied a written assertion.
