Marijuana-laced brownies bought on a Florida highschool campus despatched a scholar to the hospital, officers stated.
Now, a 17-year-old scholar is going through drug costs for allegedly promoting brownies at college.
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Workplace stated the incident occurred on Feb. 1, on the grounds of Lake Mary Excessive College, about 20 miles north of Orlando.
“Acceptable disciplinary motion has been taken on the faculty degree, nonetheless, that is now the topic of a legislation enforcement investigation,” Seminole County Public Faculties informed McClatchy Information in a Feb. 7 electronic mail.
The sheriff’s workplace investigated after a scholar allegedly ate a brownie and had an undetermined medical response. The person went to a hospital, and deputies stated they decided a co-worker had bought the brownies.
Deputies stated one of many brownies the accused teenager bought examined optimistic for marijuana. Inside her backpack, officers discovered a tablet bottle that smelled like pot and had traces of medication inside, though the woman claimed she did not learn about it, based on an arrest report.
{The teenager} was arrested, taken to a juvenile facility and charged with “sale of marijuana” and “possession of drug paraphernalia,” officers stated.
