In separate incidents, the same Fabens are accused of stabbing one person, hitting another

A 25-year-old man was arrested after allegedly breaking into a man’s home and stabbing another man at the same Fabens home, officials said.

Fabens’ NE J Ave., according to El Paso County Sheriff’s Office officials and court records. Nathaniel Archuleta, a neighbor with a black bag and a flashlight walking into people’s homes around 4 a.m. in the 100 block of it.

The charging affidavit said the neighbor was standing outside her home with her dog when Archuleta began walking toward her.

Neighbors recognized Archuleta as her son’s friend.

As Archuleta approached the neighbor, the dogs approached her. Archuleta then kicked the dogs, which started an argument between the men, the affidavit said.

Archuleta allegedly got angry and kicked him with his knee on the left side of the leg. He then tried to kick the neighbor again, but the neighbor managed to block the blow.

Archuleta then swung the black bag at the neighbor’s head, but the neighbor was able to block it with his left hand, according to the affidavit. But the neighbor was injured by the bag.

The neighbor then reached for her phone and called 911. The neighbor told Archuleta she was calling the police and Archuleta then ran away, the affidavit said.

Moments later, another man was at his friend’s house when he saw ambulance lights outside his house from his security camera.

The man told deputies he went to his house to find out what was going on, but didn’t notice anything happening outside.

Then he went inside his house and saw that someone had broken into it.

The man decided to check every room to make sure no one was inside. He then opened a bedroom door and found Archuleta hiding, the affidavit said.

The man told Archuleta to get out of his house and he was calling the police.

Archuleta started crying and told him not to call the police on her, according to the affidavit.

The man told deputies he ignored Archuleta and ran to lock the front door to prevent her from leaving before deputies arrived.

Archuleta then tried to run toward the door, but the man was able to hold her back, the affidavit said.

The two then got into a fight and fell to the floor. As the men wrestled on the floor, Archuleta allegedly grabbed a metal drill bit and began swinging it at the man, records state. The drill bit scratched the left side of the man’s face.

Archuleta got up, broke the lock on the door with a metal object and got out, according to the affidavit.

The two men then continued to fight, but Archuleta began swinging the drill bit again and stabbed the man multiple times in the upper back, the affidavit said.

The man told deputies he let Archuleta go because he feared for his life, according to the affidavit.

The man introduced Archuleta as a friend of a friend.

Court documents do not indicate whether the two victims are related.

Archuleta was later arrested on charges of assault causing bodily injury and burglary of a habitation, according to jail records.

He was arrested on suspicion of violating the terms of his bond in another assault case, according to jail and court records.

Archuleta was on a personal recognizance bond, also known as a PR bond, in which a person is released from jail without bail but must comply with the terms of the bond set by the court.

Archuleta was arrested Aug. 16 on charges of corporal injury to a family member, according to jail logs.

According to the affidavit of charges, the incident occurred on May 31 during an argument with his sister at their mother’s home. Ma came out to stop the fight and told Archuleta that she had to leave the property.

Archuleta allegedly grabbed her mother by her shoulders and started shaking her. The mother suffered “pain and discomfort” from the incident, according to the affidavit. The affidavit contained no other details of the injury.

The mother told law enforcement she wanted to press charges against Archuleta.

The case is pending in state district court, court records show.

According to jail records, Archuleta’s bond for burglary of habitation is $50,000, while bond for assault causing bodily injury is $2,000. Bond on the probation violation was set at $1,000, jail logs show.

Archuleta has yet to post bail and remained in the El Paso County Jail Friday, records show.
