A 32-year-old man has been charged after a shootout with officers in Hilo

Feb. 6—Hawaii Island police charged Aina Kiloha Invoice Cachero, 32, of Hilo with a number of felonies after he pulled a pistol on officers Friday morning in Hilo.

Cachero was charged with second-degree theft, first-degree theft, unauthorized management of a motorized vehicle, routine property crime and two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening.

His bail was set at $80,000.

The fees stem from an incident reported at 11:35 a.m. Friday when South Hilo Patrol officers responded to the five hundred block of Kukuau Avenue in Hilo for a report of an energetic automobile theft from a residence. It’s reported that the suspect entered the sufferer’s truck and commenced driving away earlier than being bodily stopped and eliminated by the proprietor of the automobile.
